Charting your course

It’s nice to know which road you’re taking, but it’s also nice to explore. At the UO, you can be undecided initially about your major and still arrive at your diploma.

You’ll get there by exploring more than 270 comprehensive academic programs. Choose courses from more than 1,700 classes in cutting-edge areas such as nanotechnology, sports marketing, product design, landscape architecture and ethnic studies.

You can join Freshman Interest Groups where you’ll learn about things you’ve always cared about – or perhaps never considered before. You have access to the UO Career Center to make sense of it all.

By beginning your exploration at a four-year university, you’ll be more likely to finish your degree. You’re more likely to serve as a student leader, be more involved in extracurricular activities, and use campus resources like the gym, free computer labs, or the library. We think you’ll decide that the UO is the right destination.
